Cultural Change: Culture as a Driver of Performance and Progress
Culture cannot be imposed. It changes when leadership, structures, and day-to-day collaboration enable new experiences—ones that are visible, learning-oriented, and consistently aligned with strategy and value creation. Key questions for cultural development typically include:
- What culture supports our strategy—and what patterns are holding us back today?
- What do we want to preserve, what do we want to change specifically, and how do we recognize progress?
- How do we create an environment where accountability, learning, and performance come together?
We support you in making cultural patterns visible and changing them in a purposeful manner. To do this, we combine cultural diagnosis, leadership, organizational design, and concrete experiments in everyday work. This creates a culture that strengthens collaboration, innovation, and sustainable performance.
Cultural Change with 5P Change Performance
Culture not only shows in mission statements, but in the way that decisions are made, whose voices are heard, how mistakes are handled, and what takes priority under pressure. Much of this remains invisible at first: in beliefs, habits, informal rules, and power dynamics.
That’s why we don’t treat culture as an abstract concept. We identify which cultural patterns support your strategy and value creation—and which need to be changed.
Our approach is guided by the 5Ps:
- Purpose: a shared understanding of what the organization stands for and how culture contributes to its success.
- Perspective: different viewpoints as well as visible and hidden patterns.
- Potential: unlocking existing strengths, learning capacity, and the creative power of people and the organization.
- Performance: Actions, decisions, impact, and results in everyday life
- Progress: experiments, feedback, and visible progress
The process begins with a focused cultural assessment. To do this, we use interviews, survey tools, focus groups, and the organization’s existing culture-shaping communication tools (e.g., values, leadership guidelines, vision). Together, we identify levers for change and desired behaviours, develop appropriate interventions at all hierarchical levels, and test them in real-world work situations. Leaders and teams reflect on the impact, learn from their experiences, and gradually embed helpful practices. The result is a culture that fits the organization, a work environment where people find direction, learn openly, that enables collective performance. No two cultural projects are alike. Let’s work together to determine which approach is right for you.
