Wirtschaft hilft-Award: Recognition for the partnership between 5P and ISBI Kenya

The collaboration between ICEP, 5P Consulting and the Institute for Small Business Initiatives (ISBI) Kenya was awarded third place in the Wirtschaft hilft Award 2025 in the SME category. The partnership demonstrates how leadership, coaching and sustainable skills development can have a positive social impact.

The Fundraising Association Austria honours successful collaborations between businesses and non-profit organisations with the Wirtschaft hilft Awards. We are particularly delighted that our collaboration between ICEP and the Institute for Small Business Initiatives (ISBI) Kenya has been recognised this year.

Since 2024, 5P Consulting has been supporting the training institute founded by ISBI with leadership, coaching and consultancy expertise. The aim of the partnership is the sustainable development of local skills: Kenyan trainers are empowered to provide professional support to small, micro and medium-sized enterprises and to strengthen their development in the long term.

Impact through a sustainable approach

The focus is on building local structures and transferring know-how. This creates an impact that extends far beyond individual training sessions.
By 2025, 5P’s consultants had already reached a total of 367 people directly. At the same time, ISBI supported more than 1,000 micro and small enterprises with programmes to teach basic business management skills.

Learning in both directions

The partnership creates added value for all involved. Whilst ISBI can continuously expand its educational provision for lower-income target groups, the 5P team gains valuable experience through collaboration in a dynamic international environment. The exchange opens up new perspectives on leadership, organisational development and sustainable business support.

The partnership will continue into 2026. Numerous training courses are already attracting record numbers of participants, and demand for the programmes is growing steadily.
The award from the Fundraising Verband Austria confirms the shared vision of 5P and ISBI: sustainable development through capacity building, collaborative partnership and effective support for local entrepreneurs.
